Meet a Franchisee - Kristina & David

Rumble boxing Mahogany

We are so excited to welcome Kristina & David Thomson to the Rumble Boxing Studios Family!  This firecracker of a couple will be opening their franchise in the Mahogany neighbourhood of Calgary.

There is no doubt with the energy of these two, that it’s going to be a kick ass location with winning vibes burning through every class and workout.

Their story is totally unmatched; Kristina grew up playing competitive sports and received a full scholarship to Illinois, where she graduated with her MBA. Not only that, she participated in multiple Olympic qualifiers for softball!  David’s background was in the UK Military, until he met his blushing-bride-to-be and moved to Canada “with 2 bags, no work visa and a determined focus that I could prove everyone wrong!” he says.

David quickly found his footing and got into Tower Climbing and eventually ran an office of over 35 employees.  He is leaving his current role in Construction Project Management to oversee the couple’s Rumble Franchise. 

The Thomson’s both started as clients at Rumble in January 2022, and they immediately fell in love with not only the workout, but the vibe of Rumble’s culture.  “I knew I found a love for it. It was something I stuck with for the first time longer than a few weeks. I never thought that getting a kick-ass work out would be so much fun and rewarding.” Stated Kristina. 

The couple immediately started discussing ways to open a boxing gym of their own, then found out that Rumble was looking to franchise and we knew it was meant to be. "A Rumble Franchise can give you the challenge and reward you are looking for, while spreading joy and bringing people together!  Name another place that you can own a nightclub, that you can workout in, and punch shit, without getting arrested?”  We agree David, we agree...

 While they prepare to open their doors, they’ve been thrilled with the support from The Rumble Team “the support network that comes from the top is unmatched, you are never on your own with problems here at Rumble, the long hours and risk are worth it.  Without large risk there can be no rewards.”  

This Calgary Flames loving family (including their two young children) has said time and time again that Rumble “changed their lives from a client perspective and now from a career business perspective” and we know they are just getting started.
